Hog Roast Yorkshire – Joining Local Rugby Action During the Six Nations!
If you have been with us over the last few weeks you will no doubt have seen us talking about the Six Nations Rugby and the various watch events we have attended right throughout the tournament. We’ve been loving doing this, to the point that we have a couple extra rugby fans in the Hog Roast Yorkshire team now!
Any notion of potentially pulling on our own rugby cleats and getting out there ourselves were probably quickly dashed over the weekend, however, as the Hog Roast Yorkshire team joined a local club to cater for one of their matches before they then rested with even more foods to watch the Six Nations games. We were delighted to join the club, but seeing those boys out there getting smashed about in the mud quickly put away any ideas that some of our chefs may have had about getting into the game. We’ll leave it to those hardy lads, this time, and instead just stick to the kitchen where the only the challenges we have to try skip past are those of the pork roast variety!
Fortunately for us and the rugby lads, we at Hog Roast Yorkshire are far better hog roast caterer than we are rugby players, meaning the team had an excellent lunch to finish up the match to. It’s hungry work being out on that field, so we made sure to have two hog roasts hot and ready to go for the whole team, coaching staff and friends and family included. Those pulled pork rolls were wolfed down in record time, so it is fortunate that we then had our follow up buffet to come to coincide with the Six Nations watch event that had been set up for the players and any spectators that wanted to stick around in the clubhouse.
With out buffet, not a single moment of rugby action had to be missed. Our team were always on hand to serve quickly so that guests barely had to take their eyes off the tv. Once again, those foods went quick, but fortunately everyone managed to get more than enough to fill up!
