This winter, why not host a festive ball to raise money for your designated charity? Everyone is more willing to give around Christmas time, especially when the charity is aimed at providing others with a Christmas to remember, which is even more vital with the raising living costs. When hiring Taste the Cracklin to cater for your event, here is what you can expect…
This winter, Taste the Cracklin was hired to provide catering for a beautiful charity ball taking place in Cheshire. The event was organised by Stacey, who is on the fundraising team for a local food bank charity. She planned to host an elegant ball for guests to enjoy, including a three course meal, dancing, and live music in a wonderful venue, as a way to raise money for the charity. All profits from the event will go towards the food bank as a way to ensure as many people as possible will have enough food to eat this Christmas. For the catering, she hired Taste the Cracklin to provide a formal meal for the event and our catering manager Alan was more than happy to get involved!
On the day of the ball, the Taste the Cracklin team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to prepare for the 7:00pm serving time. We began with canapes as the guests arrived, which included mini fish and chips, an Indian selection, roasted duck breast, and fresh salmon. Canapes are a great way to set a formal tone for the evening and introduce the guests to our catering.
Following the canapés, the guests enjoyed the main meal consisting of sliced pork and a variety of trimmings. The meal definitely went down a treat, with guests enjoying roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables, homemade gravy, and sage and onion stuffing.
Once the main course had been enjoyed, we finally served profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding, alongside fresh berries and English cream.
At Taste the Cracklin, we can cater events of any size or formality. To book in, simply let us know your party size, date, and location and we can do the rest. We hope to hear from you soon!
