During December a caterer’s main focus tends to be on festive events. Whether it is for our business clients that are with us all year round, or for private Christmas parties, just about everyone is looking for festive catering through to the end of the year. The same goes for venues that also predominantly will be looking to host Christmas parties and events.
For that reason, the “wedding season” tends to be lessened for most venues and caterers, including Hog Roast Hawes, toward the end of the year. Come the turn of the new year, however, wedding season gets going again right away and in style! Wedding catering is a caterer’s bread and butter. It is the standard idea of event catering whenever you hear the term. It’s the most popular request by far, and is also when a caterer has to be at their very best since it is such an iconic and important occasion in the lives of so many in attendance.
So, here at Hog Roast Hawes we have been delighted to come back from the brief Christmas break refreshed and ready to charge straight into the action with a number of lovely winter weddings throughout January already. The winter wedding season is slightly quieter than the summer one, typically, but in many ways it is actually far better than the summer season. If your winter wedding is lucky enough to have the magic of the weather on your side, then you can end up with some truly majestic white wedding celebration’s with snow all around and the comfort of your venue and a hog roast from our team! 2025 has not quite brought so much luck on the snow front in a lot of places, but our winter weddings so far have still held plenty of majesty all upon themselves all the same!
We have also made ourselves known at a couple wedding fairs in the area, too. The beginning of the year is also about setting up your wedding bookings for later in the year, and wedding shows have provided an excellent place to do so, not only for Hog Roast Hawes ourselves, but also many of our customers who can make use of an excellent day out to meet all of the service providers they need for their special day!
